Woodstock Resources supply Australia wide and have access to a large surface area of architectural salvage from France including centuries-old antique reclaimed original French oak parquetry in traditional Herringbone parquet format and antique reclaimed oak parquet in “Hungarian Point”, Chevron format.
Antique reclaimed French oak parquet is typically salvaged from Parisian Haussmann era residences undergoing conversion, with the authentic patina retained. The genuine antique reclaimed French oak parquetry is supplied ‘as is’ or can be re-milled with new tongues & grooves.
The lengths and widths of this antique French oak herringbone or chevron depend on incoming stocks and are often re-calibrated to achieve a regular length, point angles and width, with new tongued & grooved joints all round, and underside planed to a common thickness (generally 20mm).
Most importantly the upper surfaces are retained “as is” with their patina to retain maximum authenticity compared to reproduction flooring, so expect some brushing &/or cleaning to do.
We ethically source our recycled French oak from sustainable structures. We are committed to using recycled materials and preserving the timber forests on this planet.
